Operations Manager

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Manager to oversee the daily activities of our shops and ensure seamless operations. The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of all retail shops to ensure efficient and smooth operations. This role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to monitor performance, identify areas for improvement, and provide guidance to meet targets. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Shop Operations: Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of all shops to ensure efficient operations and high standards of service.

• Target Monitoring & Support: Regularly monitor and review each shop’s progress toward meeting daily airtime and SIM activation targets, providing support as needed to ensure targets are met.

• Expansion Strategy: Support the General Manager in planning and executing territory expansion strategies, including conducting market research and assisting with site selection for new locations.

• Collaboration with Sales Managers: Collaborate closely with Safaricom Regional Sales Managers to align strategies, share insights, and ensure that all sales and operational targets are achieved.

• Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate operational processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to increase efficiency and profitability.

• Team Management: Supervise, motivate, and provide guidance to shop managers and staff, ensuring that they have the resources and training needed to succeed.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience as an Operations Manager or in a similar leadership role is a must.

• Strong understanding of retail operations and sales targets.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.

• Analytical mindset with the ability to monitor performance and implement process improvements.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

• Strong knowledge of market research and territory planning.

• Experience in managing large teams and driving performance.
