About the Role

The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily operations at ETTE Duty-Free Food Retail Store. 
This includes managing store performance, supervising staff, optimizing inventory levels, ensuring excellent customer service, and implementing operational strategies that enhance efficiency and profitability. 
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in supermarket management and strong leadership skills to drive business growth while maintaining high standards of service and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
 

Store Operations & Performance Management
 

• Oversee the overall operations of the duty-free food retail store and ensure smooth day-to-day running.
   
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
   
• Monitor sales targets, key performance indicators (KPIs), and operational costs to maximize profitability.
   
• Ensure compliance with company policies, duty-free regulations, and health & safety standards.
   

Staff Supervision & Development
 

• Recruit, train, and manage store employees, ensuring high levels of performance and motivation.
   
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and create development plans for staff.
   
• Schedule and assign tasks efficiently to optimize store productivity.
   

Inventory & Supply Chain Management
 

• Maintain optimal stock levels to ensure availability while minimizing waste.
   
• Oversee the ordering process, ensuring timely procurement of products.
   
• Monitor product rotation, expiration dates, and compliance with food safety standards.
   

Customer Service Excellence
 

• Ensure a superior shopping experience by maintaining high standards of customer service.
   
• Handle customer complaints and feedback, implementing necessary improvements.
   
• Train staff on customer interaction and problem-solving techniques.
   

Financial & Sales Performance
 

• Develop and execute strategies to increase sales and profitability.
   
• Analyze sales data and market trends to make data-driven decisions.
   
• Manage store expenses and budgets to optimize financial performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Retail Management, Business Administration, Hotel & Tourism, or a related field.
   
• Minimum 4 years of supermarket management experience for degree holders; 6 years for diploma   holders.
   
• At least 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience in a supermarket.
   
• Fluent English speaker (French proficiency is a plus).
   
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
   
• Proficiency in inventory management systems and retail software.
   
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
   
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
