Main Responsibilities
- Apply technical, process, continuous improvement, and individual/team development skills to optimize overall brewery improvement and plant performance.
- To adopt a safe and professional approach to all aspects of the role as an individual/team player.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Liaise with other Brewing, Packaging, Production Services and Maintenance Technicians, Laboratory Technicians, Contractors, and Shift Managers to ensure continuity of reliable, quality production.Â

Assist other departments when necessary, including but not limited to brewing, engineering, and QA/QC.

Total ownership of production service on plant and equipment to which they are primarily allocated: operating and cleaning, carrying out maintenance schedules, responding to breakdowns, assessing & monitoring plant performance on an ongoing basis, and attending to all other process duties in a timely manner.

Adhere to United Beverages’ safety policy and procedures to achieve Zero Harm for safety, health, environment, and hygiene to ensure a safe and efficient operating environment. Utilize and apply safe systems of working and proactively seek opportunities to improve the work environment.Â
- Deliver the best possible plant operation by maximizing plant availability and efficiency of operation through the execution of autonomous maintenance.

Optimize product quality through continuous observation and attention to detail, delivering RFT against the United beverage Finished Product Specification on quality and control parameters. Respond to non-conformances in a timely manner to keep the process on track. Apply, record & share learnings or RCAS to prevent re-occurrence.Â

Manage the operation of all key equipment to operate within world-class levels of waste management.

Manage materials, components, and spares required by their plant and equipment

Operators must demonstrate flexibility in terms of availability, attitude, and work practices and assist colleagues in breakdowns and maintenance, and conduct RCAS on issues

With support from the section head, achieve production plans and key performance targets and deliver agreed Customer Service levels

Compile all reports required, ensuring data accuracy and integrity are built in – either original reports or those generated automatically. This includes status sheets, check sheets, condition monitoring sheets, etc.

Apply the standard work procedures of United Beverages.

Maintain inventory as needed. Report all low levels of inventory to your supervisor when necessary.

Monitor machine performance, quality defects, breakdowns, and planned downtime

Perform his machine CIPs while maintaining our quality-focused SOPs.

Communicate regularly and efficiently with his peers to have a proper shift handover.

Required Education/Experience and Key SkillsÂ
- Diploma/Level 4 from a vocational-technical school, BSc Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or other related fields of study.
- 0 – 2 years of experience in a similar or other related position.
- Qualification in Brewing, Packaging, Engineering, or Utilities (as appropriate) is an advantage.
- Demonstrate understanding of teamwork principles, continuous improvement, preventative maintenance, and problem-solving.
Required Differentiating Competencies

Knowledge of written and spoken English is an advantage.
