Job Summary: Under the immediate supervision of the Property Administration & Logistics Manager / Project Manager, the Store Keeper is responsible for efficiently managing the receipt, storage, and issuance of construction materials, tools, and equipment. This role ensures proper inventory control, maintains accurate records, and follows company policies for store operations.
Key Responsibilities:Â
1. Inventory ManagementÂ
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and supplies against purchase orders and delivery notes.Â
• Maintain accurate records of stock levels and ensure proper documentation of transactions.Â
• Apply FIFO (First-In-First-Out) and LIFO (Last-In-First-Out) stock management principles as required.Â
• Conduct regular stock checks and report shortages, damages, or discrepancies.Â
• Ensure materials are properly labeled and stored to prevent damage or loss.
 2. Material Issuance & DocumentationÂ
• Issue materials to site workers, supervisors, and other departments as per approved requisitions.Â
• Record all material movements and update stock registers, GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes), SRVs (Store Requisition Vouchers), and issue slips.Â
• Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely replenishment of stock.Â
• Maintain a clear and organized filing system for all store documents.Â
3. Store Operations & HousekeepingÂ
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the storage areas.Â
• Ensure safe handling and storage of hazardous or delicate materials (e.g., cement, chemicals, adhesives).Â
• Implement security measures to prevent theft, loss, or unauthorized access to the store.
 • Monitor equipment and tools issued to workers and track their return.Â
4. Compliance & ReportingÂ
• Adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and industry best practices.Â
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on stock movements and balances.Â
• Assist in periodic audits and stock verifications.Â
•Report slow-moving or obsolete materials for proper action
•Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.Â
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in storekeeping, preferably in the construction industry. Technical Skills:Â
• Knowledge of storekeeping procedures, inventory control, and warehouse management.Â
• Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory management software.
 • Familiarity with construction materials, tools, and equipment. Soft Skills:Â
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.Â
• Attention to detail and accuracy.Â
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.Â
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadline
