SPECIALITIES TERRITORY MANAGER

The above-mentioned vacancy has arisen within our marketing department. 

JOB PURPOSE: Develop and grow sales of Lubricants & LPG within the country across Retail, Industrial, Commercial and Consumer sectors of the market profitably. 

MAJOR DUTIES OF THE POSITION INCLUDE:

  • Grow sales to achieve set targets.

  • Manage assigned territory and segments with daily performance monitoring.

  • Identify and negotiate with potential distributors and commercial customers.

  • Monitor and review the performance of distributors, commercial, and industrial customers against agreed terms and conditions.

  • Conduct field visits to evaluate product placement and strengthen customer relationships.

  • Manage Trade Accounts Receivables (TAR) within approved credit policies and maintain clean accounts.

  • Gather and share sales and marketing intelligence, including conducting market surveys and monitoring competitor activities.

  • Vet, recruit, and develop new sales accounts to expand the customer base.

  • Coordinate and conduct customer training sessions on customer service, safety, and product knowledge.

  • Establish customer training needs and carry out technical training for targeted personnel to strengthen business relationships and protect against competition.

  • Raise and record customer complaints/feedback and follow up on necessary actions.

  • Share daily sales reports and a weekly commitment file to track monthly and MTD (Month-To-Date) performance.

  •  Prepare sales reports and sales projections to aid planning and decision-making.

  •  Coordinate sales promotions for lubricants and specialties in the assigned territory.

  •  Ensure proper product merchandising at reseller and retail premises.

Salary: As per Company scale.

Place of work: Addis Ababa with frequent travel across the regions

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university in Engineering.

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a sales or marketing field. Knowledge of Lubricants’ business is an added advantage.

  • Must have strong analytical negotiation/communication skills and have ability to sell in a highly competitive environment.

  • Be a person of high integrity, self-driven, able to work under minimal supervision.

  • Excellent communication and experience in making high level technical presentations

  • Demonstrated selling and negotiation skills.
