Role Overview:Â
The Social Media & Digital Marketing Manager at Lovegrass Ethiopia will be responsible for developing and executing digital marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness, engage customers, drive online sales, and expand market reach. The ideal candidate will have expertise in social media management, content creation, SEO, and digital advertising, with a strong understanding of the Ethiopian and international markets.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Social Media Management:

Develop and implement an effective social media strategy aligned with Lovegrass Ethiopia’s brand identity and business goals

Manage and grow the company’s presence across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Twitter, and YouTube
-
Create, schedule, and publish engaging content, including posts, stories, reels, and short videos
-
Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and customer inquiries in a professional manner
-
Stay updated with trends, industry news, and emerging digital tools to keep the brand competitive.
2. Content Creation & Brand Storytelling:

Develop high-quality, engaging content (text, images, and video) that aligns with Lovegrass Ethiopia’s mission and values

Collaborate with designers, photographers, and influencers to create compelling content

Write engaging blog posts, social media captions, and email newsletters to boost audience engagement
-
Maintain a consistent brand voice and aesthetic across all platforms
3. Digital Advertising & Paid Campaigns:
-
Plan, execute, and optimize social media advertising campaigns (Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, Google Ads)

Manage Google Ads, display ads, and remarketing strategies to drive traffic and conversions

Conduct A/B testing and performance analysis to improve campaign effectiveness
5. Email & CRM Marketing:

Develop and execute email marketing campaigns to engage and retain customers

Create personalized email sequences for promotions, newsletters, and product launches
-
Analyze open rates, click-through rates, and customer engagement metrics
6. Performance Tracking & Reporting:
-
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as engagement, conversions, reach, and sales
-
Use tools like Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and SEMrush to analyze campaign performance
-
Provide monthly reports and insights to improve future marketing strategies
7. Brand Partnerships & Community Engagement:
-
Identify and collaborate with Ethiopian and international influencers, brand ambassadors, and content creators
-
Organize giveaways, contests, and community engagement campaigns
-
Engage with user-generated content, brand mentions, and online discussions to foster a loyal community

Qualifications
Educational & Experience Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related fieldÂ
-
3+ years in digital marketing, social media management, or e-commerce marketing
-
Experience working with food, wellness, or agricultural brands (a plus)
-
Proven track record of increasing engagement, followers, and conversions
Key Skills:
-
Social Media Expertise – Proven experience managing and growing brand social media accounts
-
Content Creation – Strong skills in creating engaging copy, visuals, and video content
-
SEO & SEM Knowledge – Understanding of SEO best practices and paid search strategies

Advertising & Analytics – Experience running Facebook, Instagram, and Google Ads
-
Graphic Design & Video Editing – Basic skills in Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro (preferred)

CRM & Email Marketing – Experience with Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or HubSpot (preferred)

Project Management – Ability to handle multiple campaigns, deadlines, and teams

Passion for Health & Wellness – Understanding of Ethiopian and international food markets is a plus

Bilingual Advantage – Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of Amharic and other Ethiopian languages is desirable
