Site Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Site Engineer to oversee and manage all on-site engineering activities for our real estate projects. As one of the early team members, you will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining high standards of construction, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will work closely with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth and efficient execution of construction plans.

Responsibilities:

Site Management and Supervision:

• Oversee all engineering aspects of construction projects from inception to completion.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel.
• Ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
• Monitor progress against the project schedule and identify potential delays.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.

Technical Expertise and Problem Solving:

• Interpret and implement engineering drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Resolve technical issues and provide practical solutions on-site.
• Conduct quality control checks on materials and workmanship.
• Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and other relevant documentation.
• Ensure accurate setting out and surveying of the site.

Coordination and Communication:

• Liaise effectively with project managers, architects, structural engineers, and other consultants.
• Facilitate communication between on-site teams and off-site stakeholders.
• Attend site meetings and provide engineering input.
• Maintain clear and concise records of site activities.

Health, Safety, and Environment:

• Implement and enforce the company’s health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures on site.
• Identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Ensure that all site activities are carried out in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 5 years of proven experience as a Site Engineer in building construction projects. Experience in residential or mixed-use developments is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality control procedures.
• Familiarity with relevant local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
