Our company is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Compensation and Benefits Officer to join our Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the company’s compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive, equitable, and aligned with organizational goals. This role requires an individual with a deep understanding of compensation structures, benefits administration, and labor market trends. The Senior Officer will work closely with HR leadership and other departments to attract, retain, and motivate top talent through effective compensation strategies.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Compensation strategy development

Design, develop, and implement competitive compensation structures that align with organizational goals and industry standards.

Conduct market research and salary benchmarking to ensure the company remains competitive in attracting and retaining top talent.

Evaluate internal equity, external competitiveness, and compensation best practices to create fair and equitable pay structures.

Regularly review and adjust compensation strategies to adapt to changes in market conditions and company objectives.
Benefits program management

Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other perks.

Partner with external providers to evaluate and negotiate terms for insurance, retirement, and other benefits offerings to ensure cost-efficiency and high-quality options for employees.

Communicate the value and details of benefits programs to employees, ensuring clear understanding and participation.

Review and assess benefits programs annually and propose improvements or changes to meet employee needs and market trends.
Performance management and Incentive plans

Develop and manage performance-based incentive programs, ensuring alignment with the company’s goals and employee performance.

Work with senior management and HR leadership to design bonus, commission, and other reward structures that recognize and motivate high performers.

Collaborate with leadership to ensure that compensation packages are appropriately linked to individual, team, and organizational performance.
Salary administration and Payroll support

Administer salary reviews and ensure consistent, fair, and accurate salary increases based on performance and market factors.

Work closely with the payroll team to ensure accurate compensation data is processed for each employee.

Ensure all compensation-related data is compliant with internal policies, legal requirements, and best practices.
Data analysis and Reporting

Maintain and analyze compensation and benefits data, providing reports on trends, budget impact, and program effectiveness.

Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to compensation and benefits to assess the impact of these programs on employee satisfaction, retention, and overall performance.

Ensure data accuracy in HR systems and provide reports to senior management on compensation and benefits-related activities and metrics.
Compliance and Risk management

Stay updated on labor laws, tax regulations, and compensation best practices to ensure the company’s compensation and benefits programs comply with all relevant regulations and legal requirements.

Collaborate with the legal and finance departments to ensure that all compensation-related practices meet internal policies and government regulations.

Ensure that compensation and benefits practices are consistently applied across all employee levels and functions
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or a related fieldÂ

5+ years of experience in compensation and benefits management, ideally in a senior or managerial capacity.

In-depth knowledge of compensation structures, incentive plans, and employee benefits programs.

Familiarity with labor laws, taxation rules, and other regulations affecting compensation and benefits.
Skills and Competencies:

Strong knowledge of compensation analysis, salary benchmarking, and benefits administration.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess data and translate findings into actionable strategies.

Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to engage with external providers to optimize benefits offerings.

Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to explain complex compensation and benefits information clearly.

Ability to manage confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
- Proficient in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
