About the job

The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation to manage and oversee the general accounting functions, including but not limited to accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and taxes. The Senior Accountant ensures compliance with internal controls, supports financial planning and reporting, and provides strategic insights across the company’s diverse sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS/GAAP.
  • Manage the general ledger and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile accounts, investigate discrepancies, and ensure accuracy of data across business sectors.
  • Oversee cost accounting and inventory valuation for manufacturing operations.
  • Track and report revenue recognition and expenditure for import/export and real estate projects.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and tax authorities during audits and reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and timely submission of tax filings.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for all business units.
  • Provide analysis and commentary on variances and trends to support business decisions.
  • Maintain internal controls and identify areas for process improvement.
  • Supervise junior accountants and ensure the quality and accuracy of their work.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior role.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting.

  • Proficient in accounting software (SAGE/PECHTREE).

  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to create financial models and reports.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Experience across multiple sectors is a strong advantage
