Job Summary:

The Senior Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing pharmaceutical raw materials, equipment, and operational supplies from local and international markets. The role ensures timely, cost-effective, and compliant procurement practices that align with quality standards and corporate values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic procurement plans and supplier management strategies.

  • Conduct market analysis to identify potential vendors and ensure competitive sourcing.

  • Prepare and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders.

  • Evaluate supplier quotations and negotiate terms and pricing to ensure best value.

  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and services to support production schedules.

  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or compliance.

  • Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory standards, and ethical sourcing principles.

  • Coordinate with finance and warehouse teams for invoice processing and inventory updates.

  • Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and procurement efficiency improvements.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement & Supplies Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.

  • Minimum of 1 year and above of procurement experience in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry.

  • Knowledge of international procurement and import regulations is essential.

  • Solid understanding of ERP systems

  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and contract management skills.

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical inputs and GMP compliance.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
