Manager – IS and Mold Workshop

Job Summary

The purpose of the job is to oversee the efficient operation of the mold shop and its related service functions to ensure high-quality mold production, maintenance, and repairs. This role involves managing mold inventory, supervising a team of technicians, coordinating inspection and quality control processes, and troubleshooting mold-related production issues. Additionally, the role requires analyzing production data, implementing process improvements, and driving long-term strategy development to enhance workshop performance and cost-effectiveness.

Education

• BSc Degree or TVET level Certification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, or related fields.

Experience:

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience out of which 2 years as a supervisor in manufacturing industry, preferably in glass manufacturing.

Desirable Skills

• Strong knowledge of mold design, fabrication, and repair techniques.

• Expertise in addressing mold-related production challenges

• Strong knowledge of the glass manufacturing process and industry standards.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to optimize processes and address defects.

• Strong leadership and people management abilities to mentor and guide teams effectively.
