These roles involve coordinating the movement and transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries, managing logistics and shipping staff, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations. The ideal candidates should possess strong organizational skills, leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of logistics ad shipping processes.

Job purpose :Â Â Manage and Coordinate the flow of goods from origin to destination, end- to -end logistics operations in freight forwarding and customs clearance at import and export destinations, ensuring timely delivery , managing shipping , logistics and sales staff and compliance with relevant regulations
Key responsibilitiesÂ
Operation management
Plan , organize and coordinate the entire freight process : Ocean, air and land transport
Coordinate the smooth movement of goods/shipment from point of origin to destination such as pick-ups, customs clearance, warehousing and delivery
Select appropriate carriers, transporters, negotiate freight rates, arrange prompt bookings and shipment monitoring
Ensure that shipments are in compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, paper work requirements (Commercial Invoices, Packing lists,Certificates of Origin, etc)
Manage the preparation and accuracy of essential shipping documents such as BLs, AWBs, LCs and Certificates of Insurance
Maintain supply of proper documents for audits, customs inspections and customer referrals
Allocate resources, assign tasks and ensure operational efficiency between departments
Manage and control operation staffs , follow-up customs clearance clerks, and document controllers
Monitor freight forwarding fees, profit margins and customer invoicing
Develop and provide tailored shipping solutions and resolve client issues or shipment delays
Act as the primary point of contact for importers, exporters , manufacturers and distributorsÂ
Maintain and build good relationships with shipping lines, airlines, truck providers, customs brokers, clearing agents, port and warehouse operators
 Evaluate vendor performance and manage service contracts
 Ensure service level agreements are met and maintain high level of customer satisfaction
Team Leadership & Development
Supervise and train freight forwarding and delivery employees, providing guidance and performance feedback
Develop and implement internal policies and procedures to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Act as a liaison between management, carriers, and shipping customers.
Collaborate with internal departments to optimize the flow of orders from preparation to shipment and delivery
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Evaluate carrier performance and resolve issues with orders and logistics
Document processes and report to management as required
Review and analyze shipping data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
Key skills required
Proficiency in knowledge of Freight forwarding , Logistics Intercoms and documentation and international shipping regulations, trade compliance, and customs procedures.
Managing a important shipping documents such as advance shipping notices, picking slips and Bills ladings
Ability to direct the flow of packages from preparation to shipping with proper packaging, labeling and handling
Ability to monitor and follow-up on shipment for timely delivery and resolve any issues on a timely manner
Sound management of client relationships
Proficiency in using shipping software, warehouse management systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in shipping documentation and labels
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Work experience
Seven years and above work experience in Freight forwarding and shipping industry, with at least three years in a managerial role
Experience in managing international shipments and understanding of global trade regulationsÂ
Familiarity with advanced shipping software and technologies
