IT Presales Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

1. Requirement analysis and solution design:
   • Have an in-depth understanding of enterprise-class storage solutions, including mainstream data center storage solutions of Huawei, Dell EMC, HPE, Nutanix, VMware, and NetApp, and have project experience.
   • Know or be familiar with data backup solutions
   • Communicate with customers in depth, collect customers’ business requirements, analyze technical requirements, and provide targeted solutions.
   • Design and recommend appropriate IT solutions based on the customer’s service scenarios, including the data storage, network architecture, software system, cloud service, and security solutions.
2. Pre-sales technical support:
   • Assist sales team in technical communication with customers, answer customers’ technical questions.
   • Provide product demonstration and technical explanation, and write technical solutions, white papers, and bidding documents.
   • Participate in bidding, write relevant technical documents and quotation scheme.
3. Product Promotion and Training:
   • Assist the marketing department to carry out technical presentation and product promotion activities.
   • Provide technical training to customers to ensure that customers understand and use the solution.
   • Collect market and customer feedback, assist product team to optimize and improve products.
4. Project support:
   • Participate in the requirement survey, solution design, and implementation of the project to ensure that the solution meets the customer’s requirements.
   • Keep close communication with the customer’s technical team and handle the technical questions and problems in the pre-sales phase.
   • Support sales and account managers to achieve sales targets and technical delivery.

Position requirements:

1. Educational background:
   • Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Communication Engineering or related major.
2. Technical competence:
   • Be familiar with mainstream IT technologies, such as storage technologies, network architecture, server, virtualization and cloud computing
   • Familiar with enterprise-level solution design and implementation, and able to write technical solutions and design documents.
   • Have at least basic knowledge of Dell EMC or IBM storage, and Huawei storage is better.
   • Experience in system integration or solution design is preferred.
   • Strong ability to learn, self-management skills and the ability to work independently.
3. Work experience:
   • Strong Storage experience, more than 5 years of data Storage experience is preferred.
   • Pre-sales support experience in large-scale projects is preferred.
   • Have experience of delivering project which is related to DELL EMC or IBM storage,, or NetApp or other top storage system is preferred.
4. Soft skills:
   • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to work effectively with customers and internal teams.
   • Have good communication skills, and have good skills in different situations, including interviews, presentations, and technical Q&A.;
   • Maintain good relationships with technicians from end customer / partner side
   • Strong customer service awareness, able to understand and meet customer needs.
5. Language requirements:
   • Fluent English language.
