Job Description:Â
The IT Manager is responsible and accountable for managing information technology and computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs and timelines. Controlling and evaluating IT and electronic data operations in daily basis. Responsible for developments, plans, implementation of the ERP System and sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors progress for the ERP system.Â
Key Responsibilities:
- Capacity planning and Organization’s System Environment:
-
Identify the information technology systems needed for the company and determine cost and its productivity levels.
- Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organization.
- Monitoring daily operations including server hardware, software, and operating system
- Selecting and purchasing new and replacement hardware and software when necessary.Â
- Determine the validation and methods for upgrading company network software programs each time an update is released.
- Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
- Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy..
- Supervise and participate in bridging the technical gaps and in eliminating overlaps within different applications and modules to optimize functionality and assure data exchange.
- Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness

System Analysis and Performance:

Develop innovative network troubleshooting methods that reduce downtime and lower repair costs

Monitor changing technology and deliver a technology update to the management

Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes

Responsible for creating and administering disaster plans that will keep the company functional in the event of a crisis
- Evaluating technology risks to develop a network disaster recovery plan and backup procedures

Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
- Training users on how to appropriately utilize their computer systems
- Audit systems and assess their outcomes

Collect data, observe workflows and monitor system activity to identify vulnerabilities or areas of improvement
ERP Management:Â
- Integration and maintenance of ERP applications or software within a company
- Consulting with business units to determine ERP requirements
- Manage and deliver complex ERP engagements to identify design and implement creative business and technology solutions

Develop ERP Practice solutions and methodologies

Performing diagnostic tests and resolving issues
-
Analyze data processing modules and identify areas of enhancement and improvements
- Providing training and support for end-users
- Designing user-friendly interfaces and functionalities
- Preparing technical and training manuals
- Monitor ERP software release schedule, keeping up to date on new functionality and offers hands-on training relative to each release.

Coordinate project activities involving cross functional teams, external resources, and vendors, ensuring that everyone involved is working together to meet project objectives

Interpret business requirements into technical solutions, participate in issue resolution and assist with risk easing and avoidance
Project Management:Â

Lead IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services
-
Work closely with departmental managers to determine the maintenance and growth needs of the network and systems
-
Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages
- Managing resources for projects, such as computer equipment and employees.
- Coordinating project team members and developing schedules and individual responsibilities.Â
Qualifications and Experience:Â

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field with a minimum of 5 years related experience or a combination of education and work experience.Â

Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, computer hardware/software system
-
3-5 years of supervisory level experience.Â

Strong project management and planning skills.Â

Experienced as an ERP or other software implementation ManagerÂ
- Language requirements:Â
- Fluent in English (Write and Verbal is mandatory)
- Fluent in Amharic (Write and Verbal is mandatory)Â
