Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Head to lead and oversee all human resources functions at Angla Burger. The HR Head will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s HR strategy, driving employee engagement, and ensuring organizational growth through effective talent management, employee relations, and compliance with local labor laws. This is a leadership position, ideal for an HR professional with proven experience in managing HR operations at a senior level, particularly within the hospitality or food service sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • HR Leadership & Strategy: Lead the development and implementation of HR strategies aligned with the company’s mission and goals, focusing on creating a positive organizational culture and fostering employee engagement.
  • Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning: Oversee the recruitment process, ensuring a strong pipeline of talent and effective workforce planning to meet the company’s evolving business needs.
  • Employee Relations & Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with employees at all levels, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment.
  • Performance Management & Development: Lead performance management initiatives, including setting clear objectives, conducting performance reviews, and identifying development needs. Ensure all employees are aligned with business objectives.
  • Training & Leadership Development: Drive the development of training programs to build employee skills and leadership capabilities, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Oversee the design, implementation, and administration of competitive compensation and benefits packages, ensuring they align with industry standards and attract top talent.
  • HR Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all applicable Ethiopian labor laws, regulations, and industry best practices. Develop and enforce policies to mitigate HR-related risks.
  • Data & Reporting: Regularly prepare and present HR analytics, reports, and insights to the senior leadership team to guide decision-making and improve HR processes and employee satisfaction.

Location: Addis Ababa, Bole Medhanialem, Morning Star Mall, 4th Floor, Angla Business PLC Head Office

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in HR management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, preferably in the hospitality or food service industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Ethiopian labor laws, HR best practices, and compliance regulations.
  • Proven track record of managing HR operations, building high-performance teams, and driving organizational change.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in HR software, Microsoft Office, and HR analytics tools.
