Finance Director – Portfolio

1. Lead the development of Accounting Policies, procedures and other working manuals to ensure consistency of practices across the portfolios and maintain compliance with IFRS, the country’s tax regulations and other relevant laws.

2. Oversee the financial health of portfolio companies through deploying various performance metrics and conducting financial analysis.  

3. Provide technical support to the investment team in the preparation of feasibility study for any investment proposal through conducting financial analysis. 

4. Develop a strategy to maximize portfolio companies’ dividend to EAH, and define return on investments for any type of investments made by EAH. 

5. Develop and implement EAH’s strategy for investment of funds in short and long-term investment opportunities, provide advice to Senior Management and Board on capital budgeting decisions. 

6. Provide technical support to portfolio leaders to make sure that portfolio companies are operated as per the proper financial standard. 

7. Oversee effective implementation of Company financial policies and procedures and ensure relevant government regulations are understood and duly observed by all concerned.

8. Lead the development, implementation and review of cost-effective financial management and accounting systems in accordance with internationally accepted accounting principles and business requirements. 

9. Coordinate EAH’s annual budget preparation; monitor and report departmental budgeting discipline and performance to ensure achievement of strategic objectives. 

10. Prepare EAH’s annual financial plan indicating schedule of cash inflows and outflows and identifying the optimal structure and pricing for financing projects; and prepare long term financial forecasts in line with EAH’s strategy and future direction. 

11. Define, monitor and evaluate annual financial performance targets and financial indicators in collaboration with the Executive Management Team.

12. Enforce compliance with tax and other regulatory and prudential requirements and guidelines as well as ensure timely and accurate payment of all tax and pension obligations to the concerned organizations.

13. Lead and coordinate the preparation and dissemination of periodic financial statements and management accounting reports.

14. Develop, implement and review policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective credit and working capital management. 

Required Qualification:

The Ideal candidate shall be Certified at ACCA or a CPA with relevant progressive experience for at least 10 years, or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other related technical field with relevant progressive experience for more than 12 years in high-level industry experience in financial operations, demonstrating skills in technical accounting principles and financial analysis in private or public enterprise. 

Competence requirement:

• Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial management. 

• Deep knowledge in preparing and analyzing financial statements, understanding key performance indicators (KPIs), and communicating financial insights. 

• Practical knowledge in financial modeling and valuation techniques. 

• Proficient in understanding financial statements, ratios, and metrics to make data-driven decisions. 

• Developing and managing budgets, forecasting financial performance, and understanding cash flow. 

• Identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial and operational risks. 

• Familiarity with tax and other government related laws and regulations.

• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

Strong multi-tasking and strategic thinking ability.
