Job Description:

  • Overview of the cafรฉ/restaurant, atmosphere, and any unique selling points.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design innovative menus that align with the restaurant’s concept.

  • Manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.

  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, including line cooks and kitchen assistants.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed

  • Collaborate with management on budgeting and cost control.

  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness.

  • Flexibility to work varied hours include evenings holidays and weekends as needed.

Job Type : On-site , permanent ( Full time )

Work Location: Addis Ababa , Ethiopia

Requirements:

Educationย  Experience:

  • Culinary degree or equivalent qualification.

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef in a similar role in a cafรฉ and restaurant for 3+

  • Experience in menu planning and cost control.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent culinary skills with a passion for food and creativity.

  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a specific cuisine.

  • Knowledge of current food trends and dietary restrictions

  • Previous experience in a leadership role within a similar establishment.
