Job Summary:

Deputy Chief Executive Officer – Operations is responsible for credit appraisal, credit provision, portfolio management and engineering activities; Branch Operations, Resource Mobilization and E-Banking Operations of the Institution..

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Planning, organizing, coordinating and supervising the credit services, portfolio management, engineering services, Resource Mobilization and E-Banking Operations of the Institution;
•    Planning, directing, organizing and executing the operation of the business operation of the Institution;
•    Ensuring the effective implementation of policies and  procedures  at all levels of operation;
•    Ensure profitability and sustainability of the business operation of the institution;
•    Monitor and follow-up the performance of Regional offices;
•    Provide strategic leadership for the entire management team working in the office;
 

Qualification, Skill and Experience:
•    MA/MBA/BA Degree in Accounting, Economics, Management or related fields.
•    A minimum of 11/13 years of relevant work experience, out of which 5 years in senior managerial position, preferably in financial service sector.

Technical and other Skills
•    Ability to provide leadership, communicate effectively, and promote a team approach to enhance staff commitment to successfully implement the Company’s Strategic Plan;
•    Demonstrated technical and managerial ability, sound judgment, conceptual understanding of participatory approach and sustainable development;
•    Good understanding of MF industry and technology
•    Determined personality with initiative, perseverance and the ability to motivate and manage a team
•    Capability and willingness to take responsibility and highly developed sense of integrity
•    Proficiency in Microsoft and experience of microfin (preferred).
•    Good knowledge in economic and financial topics 
•    Be a good trainer, facilitator, mentor, and coach
•    Very good communication (presentation) skills

Terms of employment: Permanent
