The Customer Sales Representative at East African National Distribution SC (EAND) is responsible for driving cement sales through direct customer engagement, market expansion, and relationship management across various sectors including retail, real estate construction, and batching plant and projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and revenue goals for the assigned region.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in key sectors, including retail, real estate construction, and batching plant projects.
- Manage the sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up on leads and closure of sales.
- Work closely with the Area Sales Manager to align sales efforts with EAND’s overall sales strategy.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers in various sectors, including retail outlets, real estate developers, contractors, batching plant operators, and distributors.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers in the assigned region, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Conduct regular customer visits (virtual or in-person) to understand their needs, gather feedback, and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with customers to secure profitable sales.
- Market Research and Development:
- Conduct market research to identify potential markets and customers, understanding their needs, preferences, and purchasing behaviors in retail, real estate construction, and batching plant projects.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions in the assigned territory.
- Provide insights and recommendations to the Area Sales Manager for market development, product offerings, and pricing strategies.
- Assist in executing marketing campaigns and promotional activities aimed at expanding the customer base.
- Sales Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports to the Area Sales Manager, detailing sales performance, customer feedback, and market insights.
- Track sales performance against targets and KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and taking corrective actions as needed.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks within the assigned territory.
- Order Management and Coordination:
- Process customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of products.
- Coordinate with internal departments, including logistics, finance, and production, to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
- Monitor order status, resolving any issues related to product availability, shipping, or documentation.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with sales, such as product availability or delivery issues.
- Stay informed about changes in market regulations and trends that may impact the business.
- Customer Service and Support:
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients in retail, real estate construction, and batching plant sectors, ensuring their needs are met and they have a positive experience with EAND.
