D!NK is seeking a visionary Chief of Operations & Growth (COO&G) to lead its operational strategy and drive transformative growth. As the company expands into new markets and multisector initiatives, the COO&G will play a critical role in optimizing

operations, scaling business lines, and spearheading growth initiatives. This role requires a leader with both strategic insight and operational expertise to position D!NK as a premier multimedia brand in Ethiopia and Africa.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Operations Management

• Develop and implement a robust operations framework to support multimedia production and multisector growth initiatives.

• Collaborate with the CEO to align strategic priorities with day-to-day operations and long-term goals.

• KPI: Operational milestones achieved; strategic alignment across departments.

2. Growth Strategy Leadership

• Design and execute growth strategies, identifying opportunities for market expansion and revenue generation.

• Lead go-to-market strategies for new services, products, and partnerships.

• KPI: Timely execution of growth initiatives; achievement of sector-specific revenue and growth targets.

3. Multimedia Production & Monetization

• Oversee end-to-end multimedia production, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality, brand-consistent content.

• Drive content monetization strategies through partnerships, subscriptions, and direct-to-consumer channels.

• KPI: Production efficiency, budget compliance, and content monetization metrics (e.g., revenue per piece of content).

4. Multisector Expansion

• Lead the operational setup and performance benchmarks for new market sectors, ensuring sustainability and alignment with D!NK’s mission.

• Conduct market research and develop frameworks for successful entry into new sectors.

• KPI: Launch of new sectors within projected timelines; sector-specific revenue and impact targets achieved.

5. Revenue Growth and Partnership Development

• Drive monetization strategies across all business units, including new revenue streams and partnership opportunities.

• Foster relationships with high-value stakeholders to create collaborative and profitable growth opportunities.

• KPI: Quarterly revenue targets met or exceeded; growth in partnership-driven revenue streams.

6. Financial Oversight and Resource Optimization

• Collaborate with the CFO to ensure budget adherence and financial efficiency across multimedia and growth initiatives.

• Optimize resource allocation to achieve maximum ROI.

• KPI: Budgets adhered to within 5% variance; measurable ROI on growth initiatives.

7. Team Leadership and Development

• Cultivate a high-performing, collaborative culture by mentoring department heads and aligning team goals with company priorities.

• Recruit, retain, and develop top talent to meet the demands of a growing organization.

• KPI: Team engagement scores; successful execution of leadership development programs.

8. Brand Integration and Synergy

• Ensure seamless integration between multimedia operations and new growth initiatives for consistent brand representation.

• Promote cross-functional collaboration to enhance the visibility and impact of D!NK’s offerings.

• KPI: Increased brand engagement metrics; success of cross-promotional initiatives.

9. Risk Management and Compliance

• Proactively identify and mitigate risks across operations and growth initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory requirements.

• KPI: Zero compliance issues; risk mitigation plans implemented and monitored.

10. Performance Analysis and Continuous Improvement

• Track and analyze KPIs to assess operational and growth performance.

• Implement data-driven improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and profitability.

• KPI: Quarterly operational efficiency gains; measurable growth in key performance areas.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Media Management, or a related field  (Master’s or MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of senior leadership experience in media, digital entertainment, or high-growth industries.
  • Demonstrated success in scaling operations and driving multisector growth.
  • Strong strategic thinking, financial acumen, and ability to execute complex initiatives.
  • Proven experience fostering collaboration and delivering measurable growth results.
