is recruiting
1 accounting and administrative assistant (m/f)Â
40 hours per week
with start date as soon as possible
Under the authority and supervision of the Head of Mission and the Deputy Head of Mission, you will be required to perform the following tasks:

Ensure the day-to-day management of the Secretariat of the Embassy, including accounting using Microsoft Excel

Manage the agendas of the Embassy team as well as the official correspondence and communication
-
Liaise with other Embassies, UN agencies and African Union to coordinate meetings/eventsÂ
-
Oversight of the archiving of all incoming and outgoing Embassy correspondence
-
Assist with the management of accounting operations and manage the Embassy liquidities, ensure all calculations and data entries are correct
-
Monitor and ensure the proper execution of all Embassy-related payment transactions and maintenance contracts for expatriate staff residences

Assist with the organisation of incoming visits and official Embassy events, inside and outside Embassy premises

Assist the Embassy staff in all administrative procedures related to their professional duties and life in the country of posting (diplomatic ID, drivers’ licence)

Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Mission and Deputy Head of Mission

Please note that the employment contract, including the salary, is governed by the labour laws in Ethiopia.
Qualification:
-
You must have successfully completed secondary (or equivalent) studies or more
-
You are fluent in spoken and written French, English and Amharic
-
You have solid experience in budgets and accounting
-
You are proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word and Excel)
-
You have excellent time management and organizational skills
-
Flexibility, resilience, patience and the ability to deal with difficult situations are characteristics that distinguish you

You have a high level of discretion and responsibility

You enjoy working in a small, young and dynamic team and you are ready to tackle different challenges
