Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Speech Therapist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in speech-language pathology, with a focus on assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication disorders in patients of all ages. This role requires a compassionate individual who is adept at working with diverse populations and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

– Assessment & Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders.

– Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, patient needs, and evidence-based practices.

– Therapy Sessions: Provide direct therapy services to patients, utilizing appropriate techniques and interventions to facilitate improvement in communication skills.

– Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, Physiotherapists, and behavioral therapists to ensure cohesive patient care and support.

– Patient & Family Education: Educate patients and their families about speech and language disorders, treatment options, and strategies for enhancing communication at home.

– Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.

– Supervision & Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior therapists and support staff, fostering a collaborative learning environment.

– Research & Professional Development: Stay current with advancements in the field and participate in ongoing professional education and training.

– BSC degree or Masterโ€™s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

– Current state licensure and certification from FDA

– Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in speech therapy, with a focus on diverse populations.

– Strong understanding of speech and language disorders, assessment tools, and treatment methodologies.

– Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

– Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

– Experience with tele practice and technology-assisted therapy.

– Knowledge of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices.

– Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
