The Ethiopian National Association of the Blind (ENAB) is the first Association for Peoples with disabilities in Ethiopia. Since its establishment, ENAB has worked for 65 years toward the realization of the right for people with Visual impairments. ENAB is collaborating and networking with many local and international organizations towards this objective. ENAB is looking for a qualified civil engineer, who will responsible for Leading and coordinating all constructions of ENAB that can be conducted at the head office and branch offices found in different part of the countryÂ
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Planning;Â
- Project, material and cost Management;Â
- Project Development;
- Supervising day to day construction activities;
- Ensuring safety and Compliance;
- Quality Control and monitoring;
Report and Project documentation;
- Collaboration Working with clients, subcontractors, and other professionals to achieve project goals.Â
- Developing calculations, preparing technical specifications, and preparing material takeoffs and quantity takeoffs.Â
- Complete and maintain detailed records of construction activities,Â
- Reviewing work schedules and delegating work tasks.
- Preparing technical drawings and construction layouts with Design and Modification team.
- Providing technical advice and diagnosing and resolving technical difficulties.
- Prepares regular work accomplishment reports and makes proper follow up.
- Prepares take-off sheet weekly & payment certificate monthly.
- Makes a close follow-up of the operation and prepares cost analysis or as necessary together with the Senior Manager and or Construction Engineer.
- Assists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual budget of the project.
- Changes to the scope of work must be forwarded to the commercial team immediately
- Organizing materials & ensuring sites are safe and clean
- Providing technical advice and suggestions for improvement on particular projects
Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Skills:Â Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, design software, and construction methods.
- Project Management Skills:Â Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Problem-Solving Skills:Â Ability to analyze and solve complex engineering problems.
- Teamwork:Â Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Communication:Â Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.Â
- Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards of the country
- Familiarity with design and schedule software (AutoCAD, Ms. Project, Ms. Office)
- Excellent understanding in Electrical, Sanitary, Mechanical, and Architectural Drawings
- Knowledge of relevant building and health and safety legislation
- communication skills, written and oral, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of other professionals, e.g. construction managers, quantity surveyors, subcontractors, architects, designers and other engineers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Teamwork and collaboration skills
- Excellent knowledge in computer skills such as Microsoft Office
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or construction and Technology management from recognized university
Years of Experience:Â
- 5 years and above proven work experiences.Â

Working Conditions and Level of travel required:

Office environment and some travel may be required.
- Good command of written & oral English skill is advantageous.
