Kadisco Paint and Adhesive Industry S.C. previously known as Kadisco Chemical Industry PLC is a privately owned company located in Addis Ababa in the Akaki Kality Industrial Zone area. Kadisco is a company that traces its origins back from a small automotive parts dealership that was operating in one of the busy streets of Addis Ababa back in late 60’s. During the period until 1975 it had the opportunity to act as the sole distributor for Sadoline Paints. In 1979 it was registered as the sole company to manufacture adhesives and glue. By stages, the company developed into a diversified paint manufacturer.

In February 2015, Asian Paints Ltd and Kadisco Paint and Adhesive Industry SC formed a joint venture for business in Ethiopia and came to be known as Kadisco Asian paints. Asian Paints is India’s leading paint company and Asia’s second largest, with a group turnover of USD 2.7 billion. The group has an enviable reputation in the corporate world for professionalism, fast track growth, and building shareholder equity. Asian Paints operates in 19 countries and has 26 paint manufacturing facilities in the world servicing consumers in over 65 countries. 

Today the company produces a full range of paints for the construction, industrial and automotive sectors. It also produces wood and concrete lacquers as well as adhesives for the wood and leather industry.

Position Summary 

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented electrical engineering executive responsible for following up and controlling all the maintenance activities. This role involves leading the engineering team, ensuring the efficient operation of equipment in terms of safety, quality and delivery. He designs and implements electrical systems and performs testing on the electrical components

Job Title: Executive 1- Engineering

Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia                                                                                                                                                 

Reporting to: Production Manager

Main Duties and Responsibilities 

• Planning and implementation of cost-effective preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance.

• Monitor operational performance (especially SPC & SWC) of plant and machinery and carry out testing to improve existing performance.

• Operate plant machinery, power generation, substation, plant and other auxiliary units & equipment at the factory with optimum load and within budgeted cost.  

• Support to concern department for sustainable QMS, EMS and OH&S Management System (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018)

• Assist in the design, development and testing of mechanical and electrical components and systems.

• Testing and installation systems; Ensuring projects meet safety regulations, overseeing and inspection maintenance programs.

• Maintaining and improving electrical products and systems.

• Identify and understand applicable electrical codes standards and regulation.

• Analyzes breakdowns identify, root cause and implement corrective and preventive. maintenance action to reduce mean time to repair (MTTR) and increase mean time between failure (MTBF).

• Respond quickly to all service requests and efficiently troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.

• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment, appliances and apparatus.

• Order electrical supplies and equipment as needed.

• Install new equipment and wring to expand infrastructure as required.

• Conduct final inspection and testing of equipment, ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Serve as an active member of the firefighting team and participant in rescue operations

Minimum Educational & Experience Requirement: 

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and other related fields. 

• Fresher can be applied.

Required competence level (additional skill & behavior) 

• Good communication skill and interpersonal skills.

• Have good behavior and capability to lead the team.

• Should be able to work under pressure with multi-tasking capabilities.
