Introduction
Eurika Yebego Adragot Dirigit (Eurika) is a local non-governmental organization (LNGO) registered with the Agency for Civil Society Organizations (ACSO). It was one of the first CSOs to be founded by both Ethiopian and foreign nationals, with a strong representation of women at all levels, including the Board, management, and staff.
Eurika is engaged in various protection, nutrition, and educational programs aimed at improving children’s rights and well-being. The organization is rapidly expanding and has implemented safe houses for survivors of gender-based violence (GBV), provided support for internally displaced persons (IDPs), and initiated new projects for UN agencies, AFD, BMZ, and the French Embassy.
Job Profile
Eurika is looking to recruit a Finance & Administrative Coordinator (FAC) or Manager (FAM), depending on qualifications. The selected candidate will be a key member of the head office team, reporting hierarchically to the Executive Director and functionally to the Board advisors. The responsibilities include:
1. Co-representing the Organization:
Liaising with ACSO and other administrative bodies for legal compliance (e.g., annual reports).
Attending donor and coordination meetings/workshops on administrative matters.
Drafting and submitting financial reports to donors and authorities in a timely manner.
Engaging with banks, vendors, partners, and other stakeholders.
2. Supporting Operations:
Ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.
Supervising project teams in finance, HR, and logistics.
Leading the recruitment, coaching, and performance evaluation of administrative staff.
Conducting training sessions on administrative functions.
Managing financial forecasting and budgeting in collaboration with program staff.
Conducting field visits for supervision and support.
Handling procurement, payroll, tax compliance, and pension contributions.
Implementing bookkeeping and transitioning to a double-entry accounting system.
Preparing annual financial statements and coordinating with external auditors.
3. Institutional Development & Fundraising:
Budgeting for organizational structural costs.
Sustaining safe house programs through grants and innovative funding sources.
Assisting in project proposal development and financial planning.
Education Level:

Required: Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance, Administration, or related fields.

Preferred: Masterβs degree in the same fields.
Professional Experience:
- Required: At least 2 years in administrative roles for local or international NGOs.
- Preferred: At least 5 years of experience in similar roles, preferably in humanitarian settings and donor relations.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Advanced Excel) and budgeting.
Other Expectations:
- Required: Strong written and spoken Amharic; good English proficiency.
- Strong organizational, teamwork, and integrity skills.
- Preferred: Proactive, committed to results, and adaptable to dynamic environments.
