Job Summary

The Key Accounts Manager is responsible for managing and expanding key client relationships while ensuring they receive outstanding service and support. This role involves strategic planning, account management, and sales optimization to drive business growth. The successful candidate will oversee key accounts, negotiate contracts, and implement strategies to enhance customer retention and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Strategic Account Management: Develop and implement strategies to strengthen key account relationships, ensuring long-term business growth. 
  • Customer Relationship Management: Identify and address key customer needs, providing tailored solutions to enhance satisfaction and loyalty. 
  • Sales and Business Development: Drive sales growth by planning and executing targeted sales initiatives, and optimizing revenue from key accounts. 
  • Market and Competitor Analysis: Conduct ongoing market research to understand industry trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscapes. 
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless business operations. 
  • Contract Negotiation and Pricing: Develop pricing structures and negotiate contracts that align with company objectives while ensuring customer satisfaction. 
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations. 
  • Financial Oversight: Conduct credit assessments, manage financial risks, and ensure optimal profitability within key accounts. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the industry’s best practices and innovations to enhance key account management strategies. 
  • Customer Satisfaction Initiatives: Lead customer satisfaction surveys and feedback programs to maintain the company’s competitive advantage
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing, Business Management, Economics, Procurement & Supply Management, Accounting, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in the FMCG industry, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role. 
  • Strong knowledge of key account management, customer relationship strategies, and market analysis. 
  • Proven ability to manage accounts, negotiate contracts, and drive business growth. 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail. 
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. 
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other account management tools. 
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
