We are seeking a knowledgeable Cattle Specialist with extensive experience in livestock management to enhance our cattle-related projects. If you are passionate about improving cattle productivity and promoting sustainable farming practices within communities, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on breeding, feeding, disease prevention, and general livestock care.
- Lead cattle-related projects to improve productivity and sustainability in the community.
- Develop and deliver training programs on modern cattle management practices to local farmers.
- Work closely with farmers, local authorities, and partner organizations to implement best practices in livestock production.
- Track project progress and provide regular updates on outcomes and challenges.
- Report to the project manager regularly
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Agriculture, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of proven experience in cattle management or livestock development projects.
- Fluency in English, Amharic, and Oromo (both written and spoken).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of sustainable livestock practices is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project management software, etc.
