Job Purpose:Â
The HSE and Security Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and maintaining security within the organization. This role involves implementing safety policies, conducting risk assessments, monitoring security operations, and ensuring a safe working environment for employees and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures in compliance with local regulations and company standards.

Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures to minimize hazards in the workplace.

Implement and monitor SHE standards across all operations.

Implementation the IMS (ISO 9001 and FSSC) standard implementation in the company.Â
- Manage Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) inventory, including stock counts, ordering, distribution, and usage.
- Conduct daily site walkthroughs to identify and address unsafe practices or conditions.
- Oversee the maintenance and functionality of emergency equipment (e.g., fire extinguishers, emergency eye wash stations).
- Supervise contractors to ensure adherence to SHE requirements while on-site.
- Coordinate regular area inspections and deep compliance audits for partners and third-party contractors.
- Develop and implement effective waste management practices within the factory.
- Lead internal and external meetings on SHE matters and provide expert guidance.
- Investigate, document, and manage incidents on-site, ensuring timely reporting and follow-up actions.
- Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly reports on SHE performance.
- Protect company assets by enforcing security protocols and procedures.
- Monitor security systems, including CCTV cameras and alarms, and respond appropriately to alerts.
- Conduct routine security checks in key areas.
- Control and monitor visitor and employee access to company premises.
- Document and report security incidents or irregularities.
- Supervise the gate pass system, ensuring items leaving the site have proper authorization.
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure comprehensive security coverage.
- Bachelor’s degree in safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
- Strong observational and auditing skills with attention to detail.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and a proactive approach to responsibilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with local and international SHE standards.
