Warehouse and Fixed Asset Manager

Dugda Construction PLC is BC/SC-1 Construction Company that is engaged in the building Construction, Specialized Foundation & Supplier of Ready Mix Concrete Our Company is Seeking eligible and Qualified applicants for the position listed below.  
 

Dugda Warehouse and Fixed Asset Manager is responsible for overseeing the storage, distribution, and tracking of inventory and fixed assets. This role ensures efficient warehouse operations, accurate stock records, and proper management of company assets to minimize losses and maximize operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Management:

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.

• Ensure inventory accuracy through regular stock counts and reconciliations.

• Implement efficient storage solutions and warehouse layout to optimize space and accessibility.

• Maintain safety and security protocols for warehouse operations.

• Supervise warehouse staff and ensure compliance with company policies.

• Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and sales teams to ensure smooth stock flow.

Fixed Asset Management:

•  Maintain an up-to-date fixed asset register, ensuring accurate tagging and classification.

•  Conduct periodic physical verification of fixed assets and reconcile with financial records.

•  Monitor asset movements, disposals, and depreciation calculations.

•  Implement policies for asset maintenance, repairs, and replacements.

•  Ensure compliance with accounting and regulatory standards regarding asset management.

Compliance & Reporting:

•  Generate and present inventory and fixed asset reports to management.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and industry standards.

• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies and asset mismanagement issues.

• Implement best practices in warehouse and asset control to reduce losses and improve efficiency.

Leadership & Process Improvement:

• Develop and train warehouse and asset management teams.

• Identify process improvement opportunities in inventory and asset management.

• Work closely with finance, procurement, and operations teams to streamline workflows.

Reports To: General manager 

Location: Addis Ababa

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in warehouse and fixed asset management 3 years must be in managerial position 

• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, ERP software…….) 

• Strong understanding of warehouse operations and fixed asset accounting principles.

• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.

• Soft Skills:

• Strong leadership and people management skills.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

• Attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Effective communication and reporting skills.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

•  Inventory accuracy rate (%)

•  Stock turnover and stockout rates

•  Fixed asset reconciliation accuracy (%)

•  Warehouse efficiency (space utilization, order fulfillment time)

•  Reduction in asset losses and discrepancies
