Tender Coordinator – Shallow Well Drilling

Section 1: Invitation to Bid

Grarbet Tehadiso Mahber (GTM) is an indigenous non-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to improving the lives of people in rural central Ethiopia. Established in 1996, GTM is legally registered with the Charity and Civil Society Agency under Charity Registration Number 0277. GTM provides rehabilitation and medical services to individuals with visual impairments, hearing difficulties, post-polio paralysis, and epilepsy.

GTM is seeking a water drilling company capable of drilling and constructing one shallow well in the Gurage and Silti Zones. Qualified firms that meet the specified requirements are invited to participate in this bidding process and submit their proposals.

Section 2: Instructions to Bidders

Scope of Work:

• Site preparation and mobilization in consultation with GTM water team and District water officials. 
• Drilling of a shallow well to a depth of approximately 40-60 meter by PRD Drilling rig 
• Supply and installation of casing and pump
• Development and testing of the well.
• Construction of the head work 

Section 3: Terms and Conditions

Payment Terms:

• 40% advance, 30% on completion of drilling, 30% after head work and testing.

Note: GTM will only make payments if the drilling is successful and does not cover costs for unsuccessful or abandoned drilling.

Any site changes will be managed by the client in coordination with district water officials.

Timeline:

• Project completion within 5 days 

Dispute Resolution:

• Any disputes which cannot be settled amicably by both parties shall be referred to the court of law in Ethiopia.

Bid Eligibility:

• Proven experience in similar projects for 10 years
• List of past clients 
• Has experience working in Silti and Gurage Zones 

Submission Requirements:

• Financial proposal.
• Relevant certifications and licenses 
• Valid and Renewed Business license 
• Tax payer registration certificate 
• VAT registration certificate 
• Registration certificate from Public Procurement and Property Agency 
• Level 3 and above water drilling company certificate from Ministry of Water and Energy
