The Federation of Ethiopian Associations of Persons with Disabilities (FEAPD) is a cross-disability umbrella Association of 38 Organizations of persons with disabilities (OPDs) established to echo as a common voice and public wing of persons with disabilities in Ethiopia. It is a leading organization dedicated to promoting the rights and well-being of individuals with disabilities in Ethiopia. With a strong commitment to inclusivity and equal opportunities, FEAPD works tirelessly to advocate for disability rights and empower persons with disabilities.
FEAPD in close collaboration with likeminded CSOs and member OPDs has been coordinating projects, programs, and policies to ensure the equal participation and benefit of persons with disabilities in all aspects, such as economic, social, political, environmental, and related issues, and to avoid the barriers that prevent them from participating in all development initiatives.
Hence, the organization would like to hire competent professionals for the Senior HR & Admin Officer position in contractual basis.
Main Responsibilities

In general,, the Human resources management related duties and responsibilities will be:Â

Plan, organize, lead and coordinate HR functions of the FEAPD like recruitment, selection, conduction & orientation, training & development, performance appraisals, compliant handling, benefit management, employees’ services (health services, annual leaves, sick leaves, maternal leaves, fraternal leaves, employees compensations tasks, employees relation management (promotion, demotion)
Specifically:

Plans the future HRD focusing on human capital needs by forecasting the uncertain future scenario based on FEAPD needs & strategic directions

Review, design and develop existing job descriptions by making effective job analysis

Coordinate the staffing processes(recruitment) by reviewing the existing recruitment and introduce guidelines new version by communicating with management

Plan, design and develop the training & development activities ,Conduct, orient, coach the new hire

Design, prepare, communicate and implement employees soft & hard skills development program to ensure better understanding the objectives and operation of FEAPD

Deal with employees promotion & termination issues in close consolation with senior management

Conduct and support the employees quarter, annual or bi annual performance evaluations and take measures for unsatisfactory results

Handle compensation and employees benefit tasks in collaboration with departments and executive director.

Review &Plan, and submit human resources development & administrative budget, communicate with management and develop the finalized budget by including suggestion given from ED and management.

Work on time sheets(attendances) timely collection, compile and submit to finance department for payroll preparation

Review, design and develop project proposals to raise funds that could target job creations for thousands of disabilities located in different regions.

Other than all the above-mentioned activities, the administrative HR manager will do similar and related tasks given from the executive Director
AdministrationÂ

Plan, design organize, lead over all administrative activities and ensures the smooth running of all individual team & organizational tasks via the usage of peoples, materials & resources in compliance with the policies, procedures, directives, bylaws and guidelines of FEAPD

Plans, organize, lead, supervise, motivate, coach the engagement of employees to the work, monitor, evaluate, analysis their performance level and take action for any unsatisfactory results

Oversee, support and encourage employees undertake their tasks in effective and efficient manner so as to hit the target of goals and objectives of the FEAPD

Plan, organize, lead, control all organizational resources (materials, money, information, human capital etc…) and other assets thereby ensuring its recommendable stock quantity and avoids shortage in timely manner.

Review, organize and up to date personnel files in different types, levels and standards demanded by senior leadership.

Collaborate, communicate and work with senior managerial personnel, establish cordial work relationship and team working condition

Handle employee compliant, organize files, gather latest information on employees’ grievances, highlight solutions and communicate with executive director/senior leadership and feedback to the grieved.

Liaisons the FEAPD issues like retirement, taxation and other activities needed to be addressed by dealing with the third party.(revenue, pension authorities)

Create industrial peace and good working environment by reviewing policies, procedures and guidelines to serve the goals and objectives of the FEAP

Build the capacity of employees by conducting capacity/ skill gap assessments

Design and develop project proposals that will increase disabilities inclusion in development, to enable all kinds of disabled people access to employment opportunities so as to improve their economic status & enhance the living conditions- (special provision to addresses the deep rooted problem of disabilities elsewhere

Prepare, organize and submit all kinds of performance reports to executive director, gather comments and approval after including comments given from the executive director.

Plan, organize and lead procurement tasks in collaboration with finance department, ensure goods, service purchase met the guidelines and legal procedures of the FEAPD
- Review and analysis administrative gaps currently exist and submit the desk review report with suggested solutions.
Salary:Â As per the organization pay scale,

Qualification:
- MA/BA degree in Human Resource Management, Management, Business administration and related fields.
- Two years for MA degree and Four years for BA degree in related positions
