Liaison officer duties and responsibilities
Relationship Management:Â
-
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with government agencies, industry associations, and other external stakeholders at all levels.Â

Proactively engage with Each Department Managers, MD & GMs, identifying their needs and priorities and tailoring communication and activities accordingly.   Â
-
Build and nurture trust and rapport with each department Managers, MD & GMs through regular communication, meetings, and events.Â
Communication & Coordination:Â
-
Serve as the primary point of contact for all Managers, MD & GMs communications, ensuring timely, accurate, and consistent messaging.Â

Coordinate and facilitate meetings, briefings, and workshops with Managers, MD & GMs.Â
-
Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and other materials to effectively convey information to owners of the case.  Â
Policy & Regulatory Engagement:Â
-
Stay abreast of relevant government policies, regulations, and industry trends, and advise the organization on potential implications. Â

Represent the organization in external meetings and forums, advocating for company interests and building consensus.Â

Monitor MD, GMs & Managers feedback and proactively address any concerns or issues.  Â
Project Management & Collaboration:Â

Support the development and implementation of strategic initiatives that require MD, GMs & Managers engagement.Â

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment on MD, GMs & Managers communication and engagement strategies.Â
-
Oversee and manage projects related to MD, GMs & Managers outreach, engagement, and relationship building.Â
Data Analysis & Reporting:Â
-
Analyze and track stakeholder engagement activities, identifying key trends and insights.Â
-
Prepare and submit reports to management on stakeholder engagement activities, outcomes, and impact.

Be willing to take on additional responsibilities to support the team.
qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.Â
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a liaison, government relations, or public affairs role, preferably with a focus on manufacturing and Import & Export companies.Â
- Proven ability to build and cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry associations, and other external organizations.Â
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, both written and verbal.Â
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, analyze, and address stakeholder concerns.Â
- A proactive, collaborative, and results-oriented approach with a strong commitment to teamwork.Â
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Â
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software programs.Â
