The OpportunityÂ
The position holder will be responsible to provide vehicle-driving service to different projects and departments as per the PII Supply Chain and Logistics Operations Manual and other related SOPs. The role involves providing driving services, including long-distance deliveries, route planning, adhering to traffic laws, and maintaining accurate work logs. It also includes collecting and delivering project supplies and documents, ensuring cargo is safely loaded, secured, and recorded properly. Daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance tasks are essential to ensure the vehicle’s safety and reliability. The driver is responsible for reporting incidents or accidents and supporting annual vehicle inspections. Additionally, the role requires keeping the vehicle clean and well-equipped in coordination with the fleet management team.

Understands and puts into practice the responsibilities under Safeguarding and GEI policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), ensuring that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.

Ensures that all staff in the unit/function/department are properly inducted on and understands their role in upholding Plan International’s safeguarding and GEI policies;

Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in day to day work.

Ensures that Plan Ethiopia contributes to Plan International’s global efforts to ensure safeguarding and GEI, including making sure that relevant reporting and data are submitted

12/10 grade complete   Â

5 (Five) years of relevant professional experience in a driving trucks long distance
-
Valid 4th grade or Dry Freight Driver’s Licence or above with no history of major accidents within the last 3 years
-
Substantial field experience in driving throughout Ethiopia
Qualifications/ experience desirable:

Diploma/Certificate in Auto Mechanics

NGO Work experience
