 Job Description

The Systems and Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing our software, hardware, networks, and web presence. The ideal candidate ensures that IT infrastructure runs smoothly, is secure, and is up to date, while also managing and updating the organization’s websites and ensuring optimal user experience.

Key Responsibilities

Systems and Network Administration

  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, hardware, and network components (LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls).
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Ensure security through access controls, firewalls, and backups.
  • Manage and maintains Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, email systems, and VPNs.
  • Perform regular backups and disaster recovery operations.
  • Apply patches and upgrades on a regular basis.
  • Design, update, and maintain the organization’s websites.
  • Ensure website functionality, performance, and security.
  • Optimize websites for speed, accessibility, and SEO.
  • Monitor web traffic and performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve website issues (broken links, loading errors, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with accessibility and data protection standards.
  • Collaborate with content creators and graphic designers to update web content.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information System, or a related field.

Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in systems/network administration and web development or management.
  • Proven experience with website CMS platforms 
  • Hands-on experience with server administration (Windows/Linux environments).
  • Familiarity with web development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, SQL).

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols and IT infrastructure.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms 
  • Proficiency in scripting languages 
  • Understanding of cyber security best practices.
  • Ability to manage web hosting environments and DNS.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple projects.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
