Special Needs Inclusive Education Coordinator: Volunteer

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Inclusive Education Coordinator to work with one-to-one assistants of students, leading, implementing, and supporting an inclusive education system within our school. The individual selected for this role will coordinate the program by collaborating with the one-to-one assistants to meet the diverse needs of students with special needs, foster an inclusive learning environment, and work with special education departments, staff, and families to ensure that students achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage programs to support students with special needs.
• Conduct initial assessments for special needs students entering the inclusive program
• Provide training to one-to-one assistant teachers to enhance their effectiveness in supporting students
• Maintain records and documentation related to student progress.
• Facilitate communication between parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure a supportive educational experience for students.
• Oversee and provide guidance to one-to-one assistant teachers, ensuring their effective support for students.

• Monitor and assess the progress of students receiving one-to-one assistance, ensuring their needs are effectively met through classroom observation
   

  Qualifications:

  Bachelor’s degree in Special Education (Master’s degree preferred)
  Minimum 2-3 years of experience working with students with special needs.
  Strong understanding of IEP development, review, and implementation
  Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word, for maintaining records, preparing reports, and handling documentation
