Purpose of the Position

The Repair & Maintenance Engineer for Yazawa will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair of electric 2 wheelers (E2Ws), as well as other physical assets to ensure safe, continual and efficient operation.

S/he will be responsible for the periodic predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance of all plant, equipment, machinery, facilities and other physical assets are appropriately scheduled and accomplished and that emergency troubleshooting and maintenance support are readily available as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the functionality of all customers’ products, company tools and equipment.
• Implement approved maintenance procedures.
• Execute work safety procedures and practices within the workshop in accordance with Industry Standards.
• Collaborate with the sales and customer experience teams of product retailers to understand and solve technical requests from customers in an efficient and timely manner.
• Maintain appropriate records of maintenance activities.
• Suggest improvements to ensure reliability of equipment and the retailers’ products.
• Investigate and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems that arise in customers’ bikes.
• Monitor and continually improve maintenance processes to achieve enhanced levels of efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Management.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical or industrial engineering OR TVET graduate in a technical discipline.
• Basic knowledge of industry-specific maintenance tools and equipment.
• The ability to operate a computer with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
• The ability to multitask.
• Outstanding time management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills.
