Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Purchase- Farm Products In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing high-quality, fresh farm products, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring efficient procurement processes that align with our operational needs and customer demands.

Key Responsibilities:

Sourcing and Procurement:

  • Identify and source a variety of farm-fresh products, including fruits and vegetables, from local farms and suppliers.
  • Select and procure diverse, high-quality products to meet customer demands and preferences.

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local farmers, growers, and producers to establish a reliable supply chain.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to understand their product offerings, production schedules, and seasonal availability.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements with suppliers to secure competitive rates and favorable conditions.

Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct quality inspections of incoming products to ensure they meet freshness, appearance, and safety standards.
  • Monitor stock levels to reduce waste or spoilage of perishable goods.

Inventory and Logistics Management:

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and track product movements in and out of the warehouse.
  • Coordinate replenishment orders and monitor sourcing, delivery, and app-based order processing.

Vendor Management:

  • Collect essential data from vendors, including pricing, product details, and minimum order requirements.
  • Initiate communication with vendors via phone or meetings to gather necessary information and build rapport.
  • Compile a comprehensive price list and provide detailed reports to the project manager.
  • Facilitate vendor onboarding after board review and approval.

Collaboration and Reporting:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations in sourcing and procurement.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on procurement progress and challenges.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operational efficiency and company goals.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in purchasing farm products, agricultural sourcing, procurement, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of farm-fresh products, seasonal cycles, and quality standards.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills for managing suppliers and vendors.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for inventory management and record-keeping.
  • Ability to conduct product quality checks and manage inventory effectively.
