Manager – Lehr, Cold End, Inspection & Packaging

Job Summary

The purpose of the job is to oversee and manage operations after the glass is formed and cooled, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance before packaging for shipment. This role involves supervising lehr operations, cold-end processes, quality inspection, and packaging while ensuring seamless coordination across departments to ensure operational efficiency, minimize defects, uphold safety standards, and maintain compliance with industry regulations. This role is responsible for maintaining high standards of product quality, optimizing operational efficiency, ensuring safety compliance, and leading a team of personnel to achieve production targets.

Education

• BSc Degree or TVET level Certification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience out of which 2 years as a supervisor in manufacturing industry, preferably within a glass manufacturing environment.

Desirable Skills

• Expertise in maintenance and troubleshooting related to glass production equipment.

• Strong knowledge of the glass manufacturing process and industry standards.

• Proficiency in handling specialized equipment used in lehr, cold-end processing, and packaging.

• Demonstrated experience in managing post-forming processes.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to optimize processes and address defects.
