Job Purpose

The Junior System Development Officer at OVID Trading Private Limited Company supports the development, coordination, and continuous improvement of business information systems that enable real-time, evidence-based decision-making for the Chief Executive Officer.

This role focuses on collecting, managing, and securing company-wide data; developing and maintaining integrated reporting systems; and providing technical support in managing the centralized data center. The position works closely with the Senior System Development Officer, internal departments, and other system developers to ensure the availability and reliability of information required by executive leadership.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

System Development and Integration Support

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of company-wide information systems tailored to support operational visibility and strategic decision-making.

  • Support the integration of data from multiple departments into a unified reporting platform.

  • Participate in testing, updating, and troubleshooting system components under the guidance of senior system developers.

Data Center Coordination

  • Support the operation and maintenance of the centralized data center that stores critical organizational data.

  • Help ensure data backup, synchronization, access control, and business continuity protocols are consistently followed.

  • Monitor system activity and performance metrics to detect irregularities or potential risks to data security.

Data Management and Reporting

  • Collect and validate performance, operational, and project data from departments such as logistics, export, finance, supply chain, human resources, and procurement.

  • Generate routine and on-demand analytical reports and performance dashboards for use by the Chief Executive Officer and senior management.

  • Use digital tools such as Microsoft Excel, Structured Query Language, and business visualization platforms to create professional and insightful reports.

Technical Collaboration and Process Improvement

  • Work closely with the Senior System Development Officer and other members of the system development team to support digital transformation and automation efforts.

  • Participate in mapping current manual workflows and recommend areas where systemization or process improvement is needed.

  • Contribute to the documentation of system requirements, user guides, and standard operating procedures.

Support to the Chief Executive Officer Office

  • Provide timely and reliable technical data support to the Chief Executive Officer Office by maintaining up-to-date strategic performance dashboards.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional units to ensure accurate and timely data delivery in support of strategic project tracking and high-level reviews.

  • Assist in the preparation of digital materials, reports, and system-based summaries for leadership and board-level discussions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic training or certification in structured database management, data analysis, or system design tools.

  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning systems, business intelligence software, or workflow automation platforms is an advantage.

Experience and Competencies

  • One to three years of relevant experience in system development, data analysis, or enterprise reporting roles.

  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.

  • Proficient in spreadsheet analysis, system testing, and information flow mapping.

  • Capable of working collaboratively with system developers, data owners, and functional teams.

  • Effective communicator with the ability to document technical processes clearly and concisely.

  • Commitment to data confidentiality, system integrity, and continuous professional development.
