We are now further strengthening our Office Solutions Department and are therefore looking for a creative and dynamic individual with the dedication and commitment that aligns with our company’s vision. This role will focus on Furniture Design, where the candidate will be responsible for coordinating design projects and collaborating with clients to create innovative office furniture solutions.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in furniture design, with the ability to create custom designs for clients, develop production-ready designs, and take precise measurements on-site. The candidate should also possess excellent technical skills, including creating cut lists, material lists, and strong selling skills to present designs to clients effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Custom Furniture Design:

• Create innovative and functional custom furniture designs based on client requirements.
• Develop sketches, 3D models, and renderings to present design concepts to clients.

2. Production Design:

• Translate custom designs into production-ready drawings and specifications.
• Ensure designs are feasible for manufacturing, considering materials, cost, and production processes.

3. On-Site Measurements:

• Visit client sites to take accurate measurements and assess space requirements.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences.

4. Technical Documentation:

• Prepare detailed cut lists, material lists, and assembly instructions for production teams.
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and safety regulations.

5. Client Interaction & Sales:

• Present design concepts to clients and address their feedback.
• Use strong selling skills to close deals and secure client approvals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business.

6. Collaboration:

• Work closely with production teams, carpenters, and other stakeholders to ensure designs are executed accurately.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to showcase designs in portfolios or promotional materials.

Requirements: 

1. Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Furniture Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design, or a related field.

2. Experience:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in furniture design, preferably in custom furniture or high-end residential/commercial projects.
• Proven experience in creating production-ready designs and technical documentation.

3. Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
• Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, and manufacturing processes for furniture.
• Ability to create detailed cut lists, material lists, and assembly instructions.

4. Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong selling and negotiation skills.
• Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

5. Other Requirements:

• Willingness to travel to client sites for measurements and consultations.
• A portfolio showcasing previous furniture design projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with CNC machining and other advanced manufacturing techniques.
• Knowledge of sustainable design practices and materials.
• Familiarity with ergonomics and space planning.
