About Population Media Center-Ethiopia (PMC-ETH)
Population Media Center (PMC) is a nonprofit organization that leverages research-based multimedia communication to inspire positive social change. Since 2000, PMC-Ethiopia has been driving transformative storytelling and impactful community engagement across the country.

PMC-Ethiopia is currently implementing a project titled “Empowering Adolescents and Youth through Inclusive Multimedia Behavior Change.” The initiative aims to address critical issues including sexual and reproductive health (SRH), family planning, gender-based violence (GBV), maternal and child health (MCH), nutrition, and social cohesion.

As part of this initiative, PMC-ETH will conduct Social and Behavior Change (SBC) Training for frontline workers, including Health Extension Workers (HEWs), community health workers, and peer educators, in four zones across three regions:

• Oromia Region: Borena Zone

• Somali Region: Liben and Dollo Ado Zones

• Afar Region: Zone 4

We are looking for qualified freelance SBC trainers to deliver these trainings in the specified regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate and deliver SBC training sessions.

• Translate training manuals and tools into local languages as needed.

• Prepare PowerPoint presentations and other training materials.

• Produce comprehensive SBC training reports.

Position Details

• Location: Borena Zone (Oromia), Liben and Dollo Ado Zones (Somali), and Zone 4 (Afar)

• Duration: One week within the timeframe of May 25 – June 15, 2025 /Tentative/

• Number of Positions: One trainer per region

• Remuneration: Competitive and negotiable

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in health, Health Education, or Health Promotion.

• Master’s degree (MPH/MSC) in Health Education, Health Promotion, or related Health Sciences.

• At least 3 years of experience conducting SBC training.

Language Skills

• Fluency in English and Amharic and at least one local language relevant to the target region: Afan Oromo, Somali, or Af Afar is mandatory. 

Additional Skills

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Strong attention to detail and adaptability.

• Willingness to travel to remote woredas in Oromia, Somali, and Afar regions.
