Flexographic Machine Operator (Edale Press)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Flexographic Machine Operator in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in flexographic printing and specifically with Edale flexographic presses. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work with solvent-based inks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and maintain Edale flexographic printing machines to ensure high-quality production.
• Handle solvent-based inks, ensuring proper viscosity, color matching, and waste management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime and optimize machine performance.
• Conduct quality control checks and ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.
• Monitor production efficiency and make necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations related to printing and solvent ink usage.
• Maintain accurate records of production, machine maintenance, and troubleshooting logs.
• Train and support local operators as needed.

• At least 10 years of experience in flexographic printing, with a minimum of 3 years’ operating Edale flexographic presses.
• Strong experience working with solvent-based inks.
• Fluent in English (both written and spoken) – required for effective communication.
• Strong problem-solving and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced production environment.
• Willingness to relocate to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for an expatriate assignment.
• Strong work ethic, adaptability, and ability to train local staff.
