Summary of the position

This role is Responsible for preparing, cooking & serving food for employees; clearing and cleaning the kitchen and to keep office building in a clean and orderly condition.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Cooking

Wear appropriate uniform in a clean and tidy condition 

Be aware of health and hygiene regulations in respect of food handling, storage and stock rotation 

Ensure that all Health and Safety requirements are fully meet

Clear and wash up the kitchen area 

Serving of food, clearing tables & preparing tables

Report any maintenance issues to the immediate supervisor

Ensure all work is carried out in line with the safe systems of work

Seasons food according to recipes or employees needs

Cleans up after business hours

Communicates with canteen supervisor about how to improve meal service

Cleaning

Emptying waste bins or similar receptacles, transporting waste material to designated collection points. 

Sweeping floors with brushes or dust control mops. 

Mopping floors with wet or damp mops

To dust, damp wipe, wash or polish office furniture, ledges, window sills, external surfaces of cupboards, shelves and fitments

To replenish consumable items (soap, toilet rolls, paper towels) if required within the contract. 

To clean toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks, baths, showers and drinking fountains. 

To carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the job

Educational Qualification and Experience

College Diploma (10+3) or Technical (TVT) certificate in Catering or Housekeeping,

At least 3 years’ experience as a Cooker/Cleaner preferably in Catering or Hotel sector;

Inventory Management training certificate

Special Requirements

Good Verbal Communication, Kitchen Equipment Knowledge 

Have good time keeping 

Excellent inter personnel skills and able to work in a team 

Willingness and ability to be flexible 

Trustworthy and reliable

Good Communications Skill both English and local language
