Since 1991 sequa has carried out programmes and projects of international cooperation in close collaboration with the German private sector. sequa offers know-how and long-term experience in capacity development for chambers and associations (BMOs), vocational education and training, private sector development and trade promotion. The organisation is based in Bonn, Germany. sequa employs more than 100 persons (2023) and reported a turnover of EUR 60 m in 2023.

The Project

Within the GIZ Program Special Initiative “Decent Work for a Just Transition”, sequa implements the “SME Support Scheme targeting growth orientated SMEs” project in Ethiopia. With this, sequa aims to facilitate business growth and job creation of Ethiopian small and medium enterprises (SMEs) by increasing their competitiveness and productivity so that their products and services will satisfy the demand on local and international markets. A specific focus will be provided for women-owned SMEs, job-creation, and employability training for women. 

Benefiting companies receive flexible and demand-oriented funding (management consulting, technical training, financial competence/business plan development, qualification, applied research activities, etc.). A special focus will be on advisory services to improve access to finance. The support scheme is expected to contribute to the change management and business growth of SMEs.

sequa has selected Eziti Information Services-Taskmoby through vetting process. The company addresses the dual problems of finding reliable and trustworthy service providers and the convenience of accessing services. The platform achieves this by offering users a curated list of service providers with past reviews and ratings, ensuring that users can easily find a trustworthy service provider. Additionally, Taskmoby provides an app that allows users to book services quickly and easily from their smartphones, solving the problem of convenience in accessing services. 

The company aims to enhance its organizational efficiency through the implementation of ISO 9001:2015 standards. The main objective of the requested consultancy service is to enable the company to comply with the ISO 9001:2015 standards and prepare for the certification audit.

Your Tasks / Responsibilities     

  • Conduct a gap analysis on the current management system,

  • Determine and train employees on relevant internal standards and procedures pertinent to ISO 9001:2015 standards, 

  • Develop and prepare quality policy, objectives, procedures, formats, and necessary documents as per the guidelines of all ISO 9001:2015 standards,

  • Implement all relevant procedures described in the Quality Management System (QMS) standards,

  • Ensure that all in-house systems and procedures are updated, revised and modified to meet the needs of external certification bodies,

  • Train internal auditors, undertake internal process audits of the QMS and develop a corrective action plan for non-conformities observed during internal audits, 

  • Coordinate and facilitate the internal audit and management review to verify the effectiveness and suitability of the quality management systems and identify improvement opportunities,

  • Support the organisation in preparing for the external audit by the certification body and addressing any nonconformities or observations raised by the auditors,

  • Conduct management review and ensure the company is ready for an external audit.

  • The consultant team should at least have a minimum of bachelor’s degree and have Valid ISO 9001 Auditor Certification,

  • Fluent in English, 

  • Ability to work comfortably and handle pressure, 

  • Good working knowledge of ICT/IT- communication technologies and MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook, in particular),

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Your Working Experience

  • 7+ year experiences as an ISO auditor or lead implementer, 

  • Experience with certification of service providers in Africa and specifically in Ethiopia, is preferred,

  • Experience with certification of service providers in the IT sector is preferred.
