Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends, market opportunities, and potential clients within the renewable energy sector, with a focus on solar energy projects.
- Develop and implement a robust business development strategy to drive revenue growth and expand the company’s market presence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, private sector partners, investors, and international organizations.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to promote Green Scene Energy plc’s services and solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop innovative solutions that meet client needs and align with market demands.
2. Bid Management
- Lead the end-to-end bid process, from opportunity identification and qualification to proposal development, submission, and post-submission follow-up.
- Manage the preparation of high-quality, compelling, and technically sound proposals, ensuring compliance with client requirements and deadlines.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including technical, legal, financial, and operational departments, to gather inputs and ensure alignment in bid submissions.
- Develop and maintain a bid library, including standardized templates, case studies, and past performance documents, to streamline the bid process.
- Conduct post-bid reviews to identify lessons learned and implement process improvements for future bids.
3. Funding and Investment Acquisition
- Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including grants, loans, and equity investments, to support the company’s projects and initiatives.
- Prepare and submit high-quality grant applications, investment proposals, and business cases to secure funding from donors, development finance institutions, and private investors.
- Develop financial models, budgets, and risk assessments to support funding applications and project planning.
- Build and maintain relationships with funding partners, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and fostering long-term partnerships.
4. Strategic Planning and Execution
- Contribute to the development and execution of the company’s strategic plan, with a focus on business growth, market expansion, and operational excellence.
- Monitor and analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to inform strategic decision-making.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of business development and bid management processes.
5. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, partners, and stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and proposals to internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, board members, and investors.
- Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing across departments to ensure alignment and synergy in achieving business objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Renewable Energy (MSc), or a related discipline is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in business development, bid management, and funding acquisition, with at least two years in the renewable energy sector.
- Proven track record of securing funding through grants, proposals, and investment applications, particularly for solar energy projects.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex bids and delivering high-quality proposals that result in contract awards.
