We are a furniture manufacturing company located in Addis Ababa and are looking to fill this position as soon as possible.

  • As consumer demands evolve and the retail landscape continues to change, the need for skilled individuals becomes more crucial.

  • We are looking for an experienced sales manager who can successfully operate and run our high-end furniture store

  • We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to oversee all the operations of our furniture business.

  • The ideal candidate will be a strategic planner with excellent organizational abilities, leadership skills, and a customer-oriented approach.

  • A positive and can-do attitude is also necessary as well as being a team player. 

  • The sales manager will be directly communicating with and serving as an executive support to the general manager

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Strong leadership and management skills to lead a team, assign tasks, and ensure the smooth running of the store.

  • Leading and motivating sales staff to meet or exceed sales goals.

  • Sales skills drive store revenue, working closely with social media groups and assuring that all promotions meet the company’s expectations. 

  • Setting sales goals, creating promotional strategies, and tracking daily sales to ensure profitability, analyzing sales figures, and preparing reports

  • Keeping up to date with the latest furniture trends and competitors’ strategies

  • Report on current trends, customer needs, and come up with competitive and profitable ways to win in market.

  • Exceptional customer service skills to manage customer queries and complaints, as well as build long-term customer relationships.

  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address any issues that arise, whether they are related to customer service, staff, or deliveries.

  • Inventory management skills to keep track of stock, order new products as needed and manage the arrangement of the showroom.

  • Ensuring the store is clean, safe and presentable at all times.

  • Effective communication and strong people skills to effectively interact with staff, customers, and suppliers.

  • Basic financials know how to manage budgets, pricing, and store expenses.

  • Working with HR overseeing the recruitment, training and performance evaluations of sales staff.

  • Handling deliveries, returns, exchanges, and other services ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

  • Working closely with and acting as executive assistant to general manager

Additional Information

  • Work Environment: Physical retail store. Some evenings and weekends may be required.

  • Reporting Structure: Reports to the General Manager.

  • Salary: Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications and aligned with industry standards.

  • Location: Century Mall, Gurd Shola, S-002 (Basement Floor)

  • Employment Type: Full-time

Education and Training Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or business management or a relevant field is preferred. 

  • Sufficient years of experience and any relevant certifications may be considered in the absence of a degree. 

  • Proven successful experience as a sales manager with a minimum of 3 years experience, preferably in furniture related business.

  • A good knowledge of furniture products, market trends, and visual merchandising.

  • Some knowledge of interior design 

  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office
