Senior mechanic

National Premix Construction Plc. would like to hire qualified applicants on the following     post through an open competition.

The Mechanic is responsible maintenance and setup of plant and equipment and able to operate, maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair Ready Mix plant and related equipment. Operates company vehicle, forklift, loader and loader attachments.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Diagnoses sources of trouble and determines extent of repairs required for mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.

•  Removes defective parts and replaces with new or reconditioned parts.

•  Reconditions or fabricates some parts in-house. 

• Performs preventative maintenance according to schedule or as needed. 

• Inspects condition of brakes, steering, frames, clutches, bearings, and other items on vehicles according to schedule.

•  Records condition of all items inspected and completes Vehicle Repair Orders for all items needing repair. 

• Test drives vehicles to ensure repairs are adequate.

•  Cleans work area free of grease, oil, dirt, and other substances at end of shift or as needed. May fuel, grease, and/or change oil of vehicles. 

• Maintains records in file system, including warranty records. 

• Will perform other duties as assigned.
