Job Overview:
The Oil Seeds & Pulses Division Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing the end-to-end operations of the division, including procurement, quality assurance, logistics, and market development. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities and deep market insight to ensure efficient sourcing, supplier relationship management, and compliance with international quality standards. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence and profitability by expanding market reach, strengthening supply chain networks, and ensuring the division’s competitiveness in both local and global markets.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning & Division Leadership
- Develop and implement annual plans and budgets for the Oil Seeds & Pulses division.
- Align divisional goals with the company’s overall strategic objectives.
- Identify growth opportunities and initiate new sourcing or export strategies.
2. Procurement & Vendor Management
- Oversee the sourcing of quality oil seeds and pulses from local farmers and cooperatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and ensure fair and transparent procurement processes.
- Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts.
3. Operations & Supply Chain Coordination
- Coordinate storage, transportation, and export logistics in collaboration with relevant departments.
- Monitor inventory levels, delivery schedules, and quality compliance.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and regulatory standards.
4. Quality Assurance
- Supervise the quality inspection and grading of products.
- Resolve issues related to contamination, grading discrepancies, or export standard non-compliance.
5. Market Development & Sales Support
- Collaborate with the sales and export teams to identify market needs and trends.
- Provide technical input on product positioning and international market requirements.
- Support in responding to tenders, preparing documentation, and facilitating export processes.
6. Team Management
- Lead, train, and supervise the division staff.
- Set performance targets and monitor staff performance.
- Promote teamwork and professional development within the unit.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Experience in the oil seeds and pulses trade, procurement, and/or export market is highly desirable.
- Strong negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
