                       Job Title: General Manager – Plant and Equipment

Location: Juba, South Sudan 

Employment Type: Full-time

 Reports To: Executive Management

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic General Manager – Plant and Equipment to oversee and manage all aspects of our plant operations and equipment management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient utilization, maintenance, and optimization of plant machinery and equipment while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of plant and equipment management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Manage budgets, cost control initiatives, and resource allocation.
  • Lead and mentor plant staff, fostering a culture of performance and collaboration.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and implement improvement plans.
  • Ensure timely maintenance and servicing of equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operations with company objectives.
  • Maintain effective communication with senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive or Industrial Engineering, , or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in plant operations or equipment management.
  • 5+ years in a senior leadership or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance, production planning, and quality control.
  • Proven experience in cost management and operational efficiency.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial reports and manage budgets effectively.
