Reports To: Chief Executive Officer

  1. Basic Functions

A Marketing Business Development Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the organization’s growth by identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and ensuring the laboratory’s services meet industry demands. He/She is tasked with expanding the company’s footprint in the food, beverage & agriculture sector. This involves strategic planning, market analysis, client acquisition, and collaboration with internal teams to ensure the company’s offerings align with market demands. The following is a comprehensive job description for this position:

  1. Duties &  Responsibilities:

  2. Market Research and Analysis:

    • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, emerging needs, and potential clients in the food, beverage & agriculture industry.

    • Analyze competitors to understand their service offerings and positioning.

    • Close follow-up on updated local & International standards related to company business

  3. Strategic Planning:

    • Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.

    • Identify new markets and service opportunities to drive growth.

  4. Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:

    • Identify and engage potential clients, including food manufacturers, processors, and retailers.

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.

    • Present and promote the company’s services to clients, addressing their specific needs and concerns.

  5. Proposal Development and Negotiation:

    • Prepare tailored proposals and quotations for clients.

    • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure new business.

  6. Collaboration with Internal Teams:

    • Work closely with departments to ensure services meet client expectations and industry standards.

    • Provide feedback from clients to inform service improvements and new service development.

  7. Networking and Representation:

    • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and seminars to promote services and identify business opportunities.

    • Develop partnerships with industry associations and stakeholders.

  8. Reporting and Performance Tracking:

    • Maintain records of business development & marketing activities, client interactions, and sales performance.

    • Prepare regular reports for senior management on business development progress and outcomes.

  9. Promotion & Advertisement

  • Promote company services to potential customer

  • Follow-up, arrange & participate on relevant exhibition

  • Promotes company services using digital marketing( Social Medea)

  1. Execute additional activities per direction given from his supervisor as relevant

  • Education:

    • MSc/MA/MBA or BSc/BA in Economics, Marketing, Food Science, or a related field.

  • Experience:

    • 8/10 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, or marketing of which 3 year in a managerial position.
